I've had terrible trouble with the petcock
for some time. There are many threads on the issue,
and here is my take and for now at least my solution.

I never had a problem until I (1) messed with
the muffler allowing it to breathe better, and
(2) found my gas cap had a gap at the top and if
I filled it a bit too much, the gas would leak out.

So being industrious, I got some permatex and
fixed the gap, then all of a sudden when the tank was
1/3 full,I get stalling problems.

I put it in prime, and eventually it would start and
run okay.

Long story short many of you know better then I on
this, but the petcock to run properly it must I know
have ventilation. When I sealed the gas cap, and
increased the use of air/gas due to muffler, it I think
starved the balance needed.

I've been popping the gas cap when I am low on gas,
and the air fill-up so to speak seems to cure the
problem.

Just my take, my Suzie is weird, but heck, I love the
ride.

Hope this helps!
